Planet Horizon Technologies provides water improvement systems using vibrating electromagnetic fields. The system is called Aqua4D and it appears to be effective in various sectors: building technology, livestock farming and especially in irrigation. This technique solves some practical problems: much less accretion in the pipelines for irrigation and better crops in slightly saline soil. The return-on-investment ROI is fast, usually within 12 to 24 months. The company sells hundreds of installations in various countries.
I do not only present this technique because it is successful, but more so because the reflections of the inventor are quite revealing in our search for explanations of what vitalizing water might mean. The founder, a Swiss civil engineer and guitarist Walter Thut, calculated the appropriate frequencies for water treatment, using quantum theory and laws of musical harmony. His starting point was that the universe has a fundamental quantum physical structure, a structure that you also find in organisms and in their relations to the environment. Reflecting about this fact, he recognized rhythms in all kinds of life processes. Think about your heartbeat and your breathing. Think of cosmic rhythms, such as day and night, or the lunar cycle, ebb and flow. Or study the regularities in the magnetic mass eruptions of sunspots. Walter identified rhythm both in the microcosm and in the macrocosm. And what is a rhythm other than a frequency? Each atom has its own mass, its specific frequency and therefore its own rhythm. This principle includes oxygen, carbon and hydrogen, the main building blocks of carbohydrates and sugars. Water molecules and electrons also have their own rhythms. In all processes in nature, says Thut, the frequency of the electronis the most important, because it occurs in everything. And the fascinating thing is that water vibrates in harmony with the electron frequency, it resonates at only 15 octaves lower!
With relatively little effort you can strengthen energy, with great effects. For example, that army of soldiers in pass marching across a bridge, with that small extra impulse of rhythmic marching, the soldiers reinforce the bridge’s own natural frequency. That extra impulse can even cause the breaking of a bridge. So one can say that applying specific rhythms to life processes, may reinforce existing natural internal rhythms. From the point of thermodynamics, this is a quite relevant suggestion: identifying techniques with low energy impulses causing high impact.
Not only the frequency (let’s say the horizontal dimension in a graph), but also the intensity, (the height of the sinusoid curve), plays a role. The intensity of vibrations in human beings is low as compared to the intensity of the technical frequencies around us, that tend to disturb our natural frequencies. Compare it with orchestra (our body) that has to play against a noise of a drill.
That is why our body often faces frustration in cases it is exposed to non-normal electromagnetic radiations and electricity around us. If you lose electrons then diseases often popp up, Walter does not know why. He prefers though, being a technical engineer, not to delve into the question about the causes of illness, he rather focuses on promoting health. His key question was: How can I find the right frequencies for each special situation? Quantum physics offered him half of the answer. Namely that each mass has its own frequency. The basic formula for calculation has been provided by the quantum physicist Louis de Broglie. Each particle or element has a specific wavelength λ. He combined the formula E = m x c2of Einstein with E = h x f of Planck and calculated the frequency at the mass of each atom: m x c2= h x f.
The other half of the answer he found in music, in its laws of harmony. Frequencies are in harmony with each other when they vibrate exactly one or more octaves higher or lower. See the left picture below, showing how between two fixed points, the waves 1 and 2 and 3 fit exactly. They reinforce each other, only when the ratio between the wave lengths – or the frequencies – exactly is a ratio between whole numbers. With this law from music he has translated the frequencies of all elements in the periodic table into audible frequencies. He divided the high frequency of a chemical element so many times by two – and thus always staying in harmony – with octaving – that such vibration became audible to our ear. Conversely, he worked up the low cosmic frequencies by continuously doubling that frequency until the higher vibration is heard, that is, between 20 Hz and 16,000 Hz. That process is pictured below on the right.
This picture shows how the waves ‘fit’ in each other if their wavelengths relate to each other in whole numbers. This means their entire wavelengths fit in the same length. This is meant with the harmonic ratio of integers (whole numbers).
Laws of musical harmony applied in calculating audible frequencies of physical elements in the periodic system. Then you move from the right to the middle. You can as well upgrade very low frequencies (like the moon rhythm) unto the audible domain by multiplying that frequency so many times by 2 that it becomes audible (you move from the left side to the middle). These calculations have led him to a fully coherent scheme of frequencies of elements and molecules and movements of sun and earth and planets. All these calculated frequencies correlate with their specific musical pitch as represented in the coloured vertical bars of an entire audible octave of G-G ‘. An overview of the position of many elements is presented below in the ‘Table with elements and molecules’. For all harmonic chords the so-called ‘harmonic ratio’ is also indicated as ratio of integers. Once Walter got this overview, he became very excited. While looking, he saw striking aspects that strengthened his faith in this discovery. Elements that are toxic, do not coincide with any harmonic ratio (such as lead Pb and mercury Hg). Implants in teeth and molars contain elements that are not rejected by the body (like gold Au, platinum Pt and the like), as you find them almost exactly at a harmonic ratio (in this case a ratio of 3/2).
Another aspect that stands out is that water and the electron harmonize in the same tone A, with the harmonic ratio of 9/8.
The ‘musical’ Table of Periodic System of physical elements. The vertical arrows indicate lead Pb, Mercury Hg and phosphorous and nitrate do not coincide with any harmonic ratio, and they are all not healthy for our body. The picture also shows water and the electron to resonate harmonically in pitch A at the ratio of 9/8. Source: Walter Thut.
From the other, the cosmic, angle a comparable approach also yields interesting new understanding of macro-and microcosmic relations. Macrocosmic rhythms or frequencies, such as the regular movements of sun and moon, can coincide with mineral frequencies having the same pitch. That shows the diagram “The frequencies of important elements and rhythms in nature ….” below. The lunar rhythm appears to be harmonized in pitch A with water and with the electron.
Aqua4D has chosen to treat water with a combination of carbon and oxygen frequencies (tones D and G) and with DC electricity (direct current). These elements of Carbon (in D) and Oxigen (in G) form a musical quint. Interestingly they harmonize as well with the spin of the earth and the tides (also in pitch G) at ratio 1/1. So these external frequencies would also harmonize the inner plant processes.
The elements of Carbon (in D at musical ratio 3/2) and Oxigen (in G at musical ratio 1/1) form a musical quint and they harmonize as well with the spin of the earth and the tides (also in pitch G) at ratio 1/1.
I like his conclusion. The natural world can therefore be regarded as an electromagnetic vibrating organism, at low intensities and with all kinds of harmonic structures.
The radiation released by high frequency communication technology is much more chaotic and much more intense. From his observations in practice, Walter is concerned with the energy and the intensity of each frequency. Usually a higher energy frequency dominates over a lower frequency. He has no explanation yet, but that did not bother him in his technical exploration: “As an engineer you solve things and you do not write academic papers that nobody understands.”
Bipolarity of water.
One of the relevant characteristic of water molecules is that in fact they are small magnets, they behave as dipoles. Each water molecule has two plus charges of the 2 hydrogen atoms (white in the figure below) and a double minus of oxygen atoms (red in the figure). In Walter’s view this bipolarity of water could be very important for holding magnetic information. A magnet can thus re-orient such water molecules as they are ‘sensitive’ to magnetic influences. And these water molecules turn out to be easy to cluster in certain formations of 50 to 400 molecules. And these coherent clusters of water molecules appear to be able to hold that in-form-ed shape for some time.

As soon as salts are dissolved in water, other electric charges come into play as well. The negative chlorine ion attracts the positive poles of hydrogen and the plus of magnesium attracts the minus-poles of oxygen from water. Water has a high electrical conductivity and it gets higher with more dissolved salts. However, too high levels of minerals are not healthy for us, because then it no longer has the space to pick up and dissipate other sediments in the body.
A third important property of water is that the structure of water is not very stable and can be influenced fairly easily. For example with a magnet as shown below in ‘How does it work?’

One can influence the structure and the behaviour of water with an electromagnetic field. This is shown by the diagrams of the water structure below. On the left the more chaotic structure of untreated water and on the right the more regular structure of magnetically treated water. Notice the smaller size of the clusters in treated water.
The Aqua4D treatment of water apparently results in slightly smaller clusters of water which makes it more ‘fluid’ and less ‘viscose’ and entering more easily in small pores in tissues or soil. Source: Walter Thut.
Capillary functions improved.
If it rains, or if you irrigate a field, it will first fall into the largest hole in the soil and then the capillary effect of the smaller spaces in the soil will ensure good water absorption throughout the soil. The degree of absorption in the soil is related to the surface tension of the water. With an EM treatment we influence the surface tension and therefore also the behaviour of water molecules at the interface with soil particles. With the right electromagnetic radiation you can influence how far the water in the pores can rise (the capillary action) and how much water can be held in concrete or in the soil. This is particularly important in dry areas.
The capillary effect in soils is stronger with treated water. So the soil can store more water and release it later. Source: Aqua4D.
Within an ideal EM structure, water can absorb huge amounts of lime. Aqua4D-treated water has various positive effects on soil and plants. More minerals dissolve in the water, it prevents crystallisation and accumulation of salts in the soil, plants can grow in slightly salty water and it gives a better quality and higher yields. Aqua4D also prevents the settling of lime as scale in the pipes because this mineral then adheres less easily to the walls.
Pictures of lime scale in untreated water (left) show a rougher structure as compared to the smooth structure of lime scale in treated water (right), which do not adhere that easily on the inside of pipes. Source: Aqua4D.
Frequencies are available as well to prevent nematodes surviving in the water. Aqua4D treatment drastically reduces the number of nematodes in plants and it also promotes the growth of root hairs. See both pictures below, based on research in Tunisia and India.
Experiments in Tunesia: treated water reduces the number of nematodes in melon culture (left). Experiments in India: treated water supports the development of hairy roots, able to take up more water (right). Source: Aqua4D.
Practice confirms the theory. In the desert of Rajasthan in India it is dry and water contains many minerals. The Aqua4D treatment had a spectacular effect. After treatment water enters well in the small capillaries. The plants develop small hairy roots, while otherwise it forms rather woody roots, as shown in the right picture above. The germinating percentage of the seed increased from 40 to 100%. Beautiful results have also been obtained with Citrus culture in Egypt: with a spectacular increase in yield.
In the Netherlands, agricultural advisor Raymond Lescrauwaet regularly reports on his experiences with this technique. Several growers in the Netherlands have started working with Aqua4D, such as vegetable growers, breeding companies, lisianthus growers, but especially chrysanthemum growers. For example, a large chrysanthemum nursery grower in Naaldwijk (NL) has not steamed the soil in his trial compartment (hood) for 33 months. This means he has no serious problems anymore with nematodes.
Animal production, water & livestock.
Who thinks of water as a solution for cattle problems? Animals also consist of 2/3 of water, so treated water must have an effect on them. Aqua4D dissolves medicines better in water (if desired). Animal food intake is more efficient, so less is lost through feaces etc. In cows it is difficult to relate treated water directly to a higher milk production, that connection is much clearer with chickens and eggs, and with meat. Statistics from hens that received well-treated and untreated water, show that their mortality has been reduced by 1/3.
So you can adapt water behaviour as it is sensitive to electromagnetic radiation. Water is able to hold information for a while due to its clustered structure and its Exclusion Zones. These qualities result in higher levels of solution of minerals and in lower surface tension which allows water to enter deeper in smaller pores.
